Open Enrollment Benefits Fairs
This year’s Open Enrollment period is Sept. 16 – Oct. 11, 2024. Open Enrollment is your time to enroll or make changes to your benefits for next year.
CalHR is hosting In-Person and Virtual Benefits Fairs to help state civil service employees make informed choices about their benefits during Open Enrollment.
State employees will have the opportunity to speak with benefit program vendors and health carriers. State employees can also access on-demand webinars year-round.
Note: You must be a current state employee or contracted CalHR benefits vendor to participate in our Benefits Fairs. Outside vendors and non-employees will be removed immediately from the event.
In-Person Benefits Fairs
CalHR will host and collaborate with state departments to provide In-Person Benefits Fairs for state civil service employees in Northern, Central and Southern California. Please view the dates, times and locations for each In-Person Benefits Fair below.

Virtual Benefits Fair
CalHR will host a two-day Virtual Benefits Fair for state civil service employees on Sept. 11-12, 2024. State employees can view on-demand webinars, participate in live Q&As and access resources to help make informed choices during Open Enrollment.

It is not required to attend the entire duration of the event or session. State employees are encouraged to switch between different benefit vendor and health carrier virtual sessions as needed.
The Virtual Benefits Fair will be hosted on the CalHR Benefits website. Live Q&A sessions will be available for participants through Microsoft Teams Meeting weblinks.
